USThing is an innovative mobile application developed by students for the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). This app consolidates multiple IT services into a single, user-friendly platform, streamlining access for the university community.

The key features of USThing include:

• Facility Booking, accommodating both Library rooms and FBS facilities
• Grade viewing, alongside access to timetables and course waitlist positions
• Next Lesson Notification to keep users informed of their schedules
• TimeMatch, a useful tool for identifying common free periods among friends
• Campus Information and a comprehensive directory
• Updates on News and Events occurring around campus
• And additional features are expected in future updates.

To ensure convenient access to these services, USThing requires users to log in with their ITSC username and password. Notably, user credentials are securely stored locally with encryption and are not retained on remote servers. For any inquiries related to privacy, users are encouraged to reach out for further assistance.

It is important to note that USThing operates independently of student societies and does not include any paid advertisements or promotions. All content within the app is contributed voluntarily by its users.
